South African Drug Policy Initiative

Advocating for humane, rational drug laws to reduce drug-related harms

Members of the South African Drug Policy Initiative are all committed supporters of a comprehensive overhaul of the South African drug laws as outlined in the SADPI position statement.

We support an evidence based, scientific approach to a process that will eventuate in the legal regulation of all psychoactive substances, thereby containing drug-related harms and the criminal elements that control the drug trade.

Applications for membership are considered by the SADPI board and are open to those who support the SADPI objectives as laid out in its constitution.
